Love Music ...

Last night went to a Love Music concert at Asia Expo ...

The arena was ok except being a very long U-shape arrangement, the stage was very far from most of the seats. The middle area was "standing area", and I felt sorry for those that are at the 2nd half in the back since they probably can't see much, and the singers didn't come out to the very front that often either. We were at area 5 which is at the front of the 2nd half seating area, and it was a bit far away already (although not too bad). The sound system was not good though as you can hear the music quite loudly (plus the even louder noise all around you from those stupid plastic bom bom sticks that the organizer put on your seat), but you can barely hear the singing. That is especially true for the first few singers/groups ... we were ready to ask for our money back. It was quite ironic that around 10pm, they made an announcement that the show is starting ... and then the Korean singer Se7en came on stage, followed by Denise Ho and lastly Aaron Kwok. True indeed, that's when we finally see some real performers (noticed how I used the word "performer" ... meaning can both sing and dance/perform).

The transportation arrangement going to Asia Expo was ok ... but from Expo back to town was quite bad. I saw some very unhappy tourists at the Airport because the Airport Express train (two in a row at least) was packed already by the time it reached the airport, with no seats and already many people standing. MTR really needs to think about how to handle the crowd after these shows, such as having one train bypassing the Airport and another bypassing the Asia Expo so that the tourists can get on. Many tourists around the world have complimented Hong Kong for the ease of getting into city via the Airport Express ... otherwise this would make us look very bad indeed.

To conclude ... I'm not sure at $200 per ticket (plus having to use up points) ... is worth it.
